IN THE PICTURE - LOLA DOOLAGE STUDIO

After an internship in leather goods making, Lola discovered her passion for accessories, particularly jewellery. In 2015, she embarked on her journey at Institut Jeanne Toussaint, where she trained in various disciplines, including silversmithing, goldsmithing, wax carving, and casting.
While studying, Lola also worked in an atelier to perfect her technique. In 2021, she followed her calling and opened her own studio under her name. Lola Doolage Studio was born. In the beginning, Lola’s designs were defined by clean geometric lines and an emphasis on floating elements, allowing the gemstone to take centre stage.

Over time, her creations grew bolder and more audacious. Her goal is to design wearable statement pieces, with rings being her favourite jewellery to create. Inspired by the cocktail ring and what it represents, Lola believes that every piece of jewellery tells a story. “I’ve always admired women wearing a simple outfit, yet wearing that one striking ring that says it all – their attitude, their taste, their audacity, and their story. I aspire to be like them one day.”
A key feature of Lola’s designs is her distinctive colour palette. For example, she’s selective about the stones she pairs with metals – certain precious stones, like warmer hues, simply don’t belong with white gold for example. Mixed metals are another hallmark of Lola’s work, with silver and yellow gold being her favourite combination. To ensure each piece is unique, Lola primarily works on commission. Some of her designs are available for purchase or can be custom-made to your specifications.
